Assuming you use 10/76/40+ gcs and 36/20 sc's, can a solid built ghostsin win against smiters/dins? The traps would be weak but will they do enough to make smiters be more aggressive so they don't just shift smite? I figure a good claw will run 5-10k fg but does anyone know of a top build for ghost or hybrid? Appreciate any info.

If you’re dueling against smiter make sure you got 50dr with fade on before you start swapping shadow gcs with 10/76/45s

No

You use 8x shadow disc GCs + cube for 2x buff claws + demon limb

Then you use a combo of 3/20/20 or 36ar/20life or 20/5 all res or 20/11 single res depending on your gear and opponent

Thanks for the reply, I figure max fade + gear/bo is 28dr then berber vis helm = 44dr. I could take away a ber and use dungos, that'd give max dr, or 6x shad gcs but what would be the difference in dmg/ar not using max/ar/life gcs? I realize claw mastery gives dmg/ar but didn't know if it was considerable.

Never use dungo on sin.

You almost always need 2x 40/15ias jewels in circlet now to reach the required ias bps for WW and/or traps making ber ber completely unviable

You also need to decide if you are ghost or hybrid and understand the difference as it significantly impacts how you skill and what claws you aim for

Appreciate you getting in here, I planned to use cube regardless but wasn't aware shadow gcs would be the top choice to reach enough ar for smiters. Thanks man.

6x shadows were used in LOD for ghost for a short time when ghosts primarily used shadow dancers before people listened to me and opted for gore riders and swapped to 9x shadow disc before cube buffing became widely GM. Then 8x shadow + cube buff became optimal.

Ghost and hybrid have limited ED% and AR% modifiers compared to something like bvc who has 20 points into WW + fanaticism from beast + max weapon mastery. Making ghost and hybrid needing to scale skills to get more ed% and AR% so that you have enoguh multipliers to scale your damage and AR.

Bvc has high ed% and AR% and gets little value from + skills compared to ghost and hybrid, thus using 3/20/20 gives you more overall value. Not to mention ghost gets a lot of defensive capabilities from the + shadow skills where bvc only gets rather useless defense % and a small amount of all res comparatively.

The equations for scaling damage and AR are very different for sin then they are bvc

A dumbed down version of understanding the equations is this:
When you have high ED% and high AR %, you prioritize damage and integer AR

When you have low ED% and AR%, you prioritize more ED% and AR% over damage and integer AR

This remains largely true across classes. There are some nuances, but this provides you overall direction.

I thought ww ias was only based on weapon and not affected by other sources of ias? Did that change or I just have crap info? I am fine with building whichever one will do best against smiters, I have a bvc that can take out most casters np but smiters always just shift smite meaning I have to clip them and one screw up on the clip means I take too much dmg so I want a sin that can force them to move.
