You think so? As devastating as this season has been. Losing Tank Dell (likely until 2026), Stefon Diggs, Jalen Pitre and Jimmie Ward. I felt like they still had a chance to win a home wild-card game against the Steelers or Chargers. Against the Ravens they've been unable to beat Lamar Jackson and that's just a tough matchup every time. With the loss yesterday the Texans guarantee themselves of not having to face the Ravens in the wild-card game. They'll stand a chance vs. the Steelers or Chargers.
But we'll see. At least Azeez Al-Shaair is back from suspension and the addition of Dionte Johnson won't hurt. It's not like the Texans have any good receivers right now outside of Nico Collins. I'm not going to give up on the playoffs just yet. I believe the Houston Texans can win that wild-card game. There will be a lot of teams that didn't make the playoffs wishing they had a chance. The Texans, as difficult as this season has been, will still be in the playoffs. It's an opportunity to turn things around.
