Why single player if not doing a grail

I’ve got a huge list.

I initially started my SP journey 6 years ago because in all of my years I’ve never played the game all of the way through in the way it was intended. I never even followed the lore. Once I did that I found a lot of enjoyment, so my next goal was to beat hell Baal P8 with every character. Then I moved into HC, and then back to SC when I converted to D2R. But here are some more reasons:

I’m a parent with limited time windows to play. Friends no longer play online. Tired of bots and zero satisfaction when I did find something valuable due to watered down market. Progress is never erased or reset. Playing is a zero-effort activity in which I can relax after the day is done. I often listen to podcasts or YouTube interviews while I play.

Until you SP, you may not understand.

I should probably start tracking a grail. But I’m hesitant to because I’ve found so many things and just trashed them. Would kill me to have to find them again.

I nnow what you mean about recall - I originally started doing a recall grail but it's not even the big stuff, it's the little things like Higgins bonnet and random unique axes I don't remember getting. Obv I must have. But I don't know for sure.
