Ever since the windows 11 24h2 update i cant play diablo 2 or multi box

Did a ram test - ram was fine

Issue was i would be playing pc would stutter and freeze and sometimes itd make a beep noise thru headphones.

I recently did an update to the new windows 11 and its past the 10 days to go back to 23h2.

The logs were a bit fishy it said critical but the event log has a bunch of stuff pretty much everyday of like authorization issues Gamebar etc. i know in past I deactivated the windows gamebar or something like that. But im stuck right now because i cant go back on the windows update :/ any help - 500 fg for fix

Specs : i7 11700k
Mobo - asus z590 p
Ddr 4 64 gig ram 3200
Gpu rtx 3070ti 8 gb
Ssd 1tb samsung

Maybe folder corrupt, try reinstall again and change name of the folder to something else such as "D2R"

This worked for a friend who couldnt install d2r, gl

I did chkdsk. Memtest. Reinstalled d2r from scratch. I just reinstalled that hellish 24h2 update (repair version) hopefully this fixes issue. Its only d2 that my pc freezes

No issues at all with memory or my sdd

I had also issues after switching to win11.

For me helped:

D2R copie/s Need to be in the System drive.

Uncap fps in Game.

Cap fps in NVIDIA Setting.

„If you have an nvidia card, limit the frame rates at the nvdia control panel to 60 fps. if you do it in game it will slow your load times. If you limit it in the gpu control and not the game, it will greatly reduce the load on the gpu and eliminate the 'kernel panic' like crashes of always being on unlimited frames, while keeping your load times“

Have you tried running it in a specific compatibility version mode?
