I see a lot of new players trying poe for the first time. The main rule related to buying and selling on jsp is to never mention fg or the site in game. Do not post your IGN, account name, anything on jsp.

How do we trade then?

1. Post a rare item in one of your premium stashes for the amount of currency you want to buy. (Do not post magic, normal, unique items).
2. Go to the trade site, click on show filters and scroll to the bottom. In the last section called "trade filters" you'll find a "seller account" tab.



Fill it with your account name and click on search. It'll show all the active listings your account has. Give that link to the seller via PM.

3. Seller will contact you by clicking on "direct whisper" so it looks like a normal in game trade.
4. After trade is complete say ty gl or whatever. Just do not mention jsp or fg in game.

Just copy+paste the url of the search that shows your item. If you are unsure just send a screenshot as the seller can find the item based on the name/stats and your account name.

Thanks for this! If we're buying an item from someone for fg and we have no in-game currency, what do we do in the trade window? Just put in any throwaway rare item so they are getting something in return?

Also, just curious - how does GGG discern the off-site trading that they don't want to happen vs. someone being generous in game, giving away items or helping a friend etc.?

My uncle works directly for Chris Wilson as his janitor and he says that they install malware on your computer during installation to check if you're using jsp while trading
