Hey there,

I received a notification that my thread was closed due to an early bump. Thread here:

https://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=98902145&f=271&p=636548632#p636548632

I did not click the "Bump" button at all, just replied to someone who posted, thanking them. How do I ensure that I dont violate the early bump rule?

If I start a new thread, will it be at risk of being closed since this one was just closed? How long do I need to wait if that's the case?

Quick glance at the topic you are doing a few back to back posts within the 4h bump rule so that's why your topic is closed,
it has nothing to with clicking the Bump button. It's also a way of breaking the rule by quoting someone within the 4h bump rule and say "t4t, thanks" or such.
If you want to thank the buyer you can always thank him in game or through the PM and not in the topic to break the 4h bump rule.

Just looking at first page, posts #4, 5 and 9 are early bumps.

Hi Will,

The definition of “early bump” is replying back-to-back within a period of less than 4 hours, since replying to the thread automatically bumps it too, basically to avoid violating the early bump rule you may only reply once every 4 hours since your last post.

For any updates of the current sales situation of your topic we recommend using the edit button to edit your main post.

I can't understand that he only replied others request and offer, say t4t or pm to make a statement that the request got confirmed.

others will see this and not keep doing any offer for the same items. what is wrong with him?

If the intention was to simply update the trade such as stock and etc then editing your original post would suffice,

Quite often we see people abusing the fact that simply replying bumps the topic as well thus they post non-constructive comments such as “thanks for free bump” or “thanks for offer”, sure you may reply but do so providing that it’s not a back-to-back reply and your replies are actually necessary.

I just experienced this, accidental early bump indicating PM'ed a trade request and T4T, is there wait time incurred for reposting the same thread? I had a look in the rules for this but couldn't find a time limit for repost ruling.
Thoughts on this?

edit: just a bit unsure on rulings here, would this question be better suited to a second thread? is that how that it intended to work? apologies and please forgive my lack of knowledge on forum etiquette.
thanks for any help!

first page clearly 4 early bumps...

if u would want to t4t, or update or after update (you edit your main first thread u made) or pm u can quote the jsp but not 1 quote per bump (per line) u can hit 3 quotes on 3 jsp in that same section, quote t4t quote pmed quote list updated all in 1 bump section not 3 in rows... that consider early bumping

if u would do 3 or more quotes in 1 bump section then that's not early bump (only when they post first) as you reply with 3 or more quotes in that, not hitting 3x replys same in rows after 1-2 mins apart that's consider early bump (even there not a bump button)

if noone has post your thread to order to bump your thread is 4 hour rules+

hope this clears up

once ur thread gets closed usually u wait 4 hours before reposing topic

This post is a violation of the site rules and appropriate action was taken.

Just wait 15 minutes before replaying t4t, that is what 30+ posts per day accounts do and it works
