They can borrow from the US. Soon, a lot of other peoples money will be in the Governments hands.

Then you need to pay to have people to administer all of these jobs, manage all of the prisoners, etc.

It works if you have a small-time prison like you see in Cool Hand Luke, but it isn't practical with respect to large scale prisons.

Military does it well

It is all about management and process.

You dont follow rules, get up shower in time, be at your post to work, you dont eat that day.

Put some simple work force management process and software and you can know exactly who is doing what at all times.

Put some simple technolog to use.

Lazy people can starve in their cell and die.

They added no value in society in real life and commit crime and now in jail hey cant do simple thngs to be fed and housed, then they have no value in this society.

You don't seem to understand what he was saying.

The point of prison, on some level, is to rehabilitate the prisoners so that they won't repeat the crime (currently a huge chunk of prisoners are repeat offenders.)

However, in the current system the prisoners who go there learn better ways to commit crimes, they increase the contacts within the criminal community, etc. -- mainly because the influence of gangs in prison (especially here in the CA-NV-AZ, etc. area.)

The inmates may not care, but we should care because it is in the interest of the greater good of society.
