The E11 is an amp and just that. Nothing fancy, a little warm sounding, makes shit louder and clearer / less distorted.

E17. I own this amp and it can do a lot more such as convert from Digital to Analog. It is what is called an Amp/DAC. It amplifies the sounds and seconds as a Digital to Analog Converter. It also comes with it's own little form of EQ for Treb and Bass. Not only that but the battery life is good and it can be used in so many different ways.

They fit on the ear aka super-aural. I can always sell you my barely used ATH Pro-700 MKII. I bought them, wore them for awhile, and felt they just aren't my style. Too addicted to my Q701.

Q701 are great, I woudlnt really call them portable though.

And they require a good amp/dac combo to sound proper.

Honesty ldk if i'd get 701's for a portable headphone. They're pretty large. Dont fold at all, And require a good amp/dac to sound good.

Even the e17 is Meh for them.

E17 is an amazing amp and will power the Q701 well. I've even used them with my phone and it wasn't as bad as everyone says. Though I wouldn't use them for portable use as you can hear everything around you and they are large.
