I think this would be a grand idea. It would bring traffic and make a new economy for fg!

I have no experience in running a game server, but i'd be willing to help someone start it up with whatever i can

I know lots of people who can, but its really difficult to start up a server

1. Lack of players
2. Lack of money to run server

We've tried recently and it went down hill.

I know of a couple people that would play from the start, and if you could run it for the first couple weeks/months on a computer just lying around the house (since there arent going to be TONS of people on the server in the first bit), you might be able to build up a base of players. After that, make a donation box with a cap of whatever the cost per month for a payed server is (say like $50 a month) and once it was all donated an event would happen or something.
