what kind of game is rift, is it more pvp, pve, quests group quests. how is general game play/community Ect. love to know your thoughts and whether or not its worth playing

Side note its a f2p, is it at all a pay to win, can you buy gear or items?

Until you get to the t1/t2 raids, there is some gear that can be bought that will help you, but tbh it's not as smart or as effective as just farming the gear in the proper manner. Also it's pay for convenience/easy mode... IE the expansion souls, extra bag slots, extra professions on one toon, etc. It's still pretty impressive and a lot of fun in my opinion with all that aside. They've done a good job accommodating all types of players. Worth a try anywho m8.

/e communitiy on eu servers (or at least german) is pretty shitty. but as soon as you find some ppl to play with (guild or just fl) its nice.

NA servers are ok for community wise, like MOH said if you find a good group stick with it. no mmo is fun playing by yourself. other than that i think RIFT does what WoW failed at. interactive zones. for example rift openings, invasions. there is always something to do in any zone! best part is if you have a lowbie buddie you can lower your level and mentor and gain the same exp as he does without leeching his! pvp is more oriented for big battles and world interaction pvp rather than city of queuecraft (WoW). i really like this game vs most other mmos for some reason.
