Yea im new when it comes to rift took advantage of the 20 day trial, Really enjoying it . I stoped playing WoW in Wrath so im not new to mmorpgs.

Just wondering if there is anything i should know as of now iv picked up herb , butchering, and mining just because its a main and im poor where im just starting.

What should i know about the game while im lvling anything i should do, ALSO the games always funnier when your playing with people you know im on Seastone Gaurdian hit me up if your playing there!

Rift is fun game I play Defiant side on Wolfsbane and I'm just returning going to make a guardian to check out that side of the game. I recommend the game to anyone especially for a 1-20 free trial unlimited hours.

gathering is just like in WoW when it comes to value per each individual item and professions.

mining is always a decent money maker.

butchering is bad because mobs are the nodes

the enchanting in this game is just like WoW you need a foot in the door to even think about it.


Crafting is only good if you have the best recipes and the ability to get the mats, enchanting/alchemy are decent money.



Dailies are how you make money from nothing... I got about 1k plat from dailies.

Right on, i just picked up those profs for now jut for lvling purposes gather mats as i go make a few on the way before 50 kinda thing like i did in WoW with alts. Can you power lvl profs as well , or is it harder in rift ?

you can power level, it is exactly like WoW, just need a boat load of mats.

In rift though there are pretty decent advantages for staying with one character though.

Planar attunement at 50 awards 100 planar points, each level (500k exp) to spend into a at level cap "tree" to further progress your character.

These trees award all the basic stats str/endurance/int EC, then can offer X while using X weapons. (damage increases)

Alright Thanks, and one last question , how are you liking the game so far its been out what a year? From what i hear there patching frequently still and going hard?

it isn't the best mmo, but it is far from the worst. I really like the art style and graphics.

patching is frequent.

Drop butchering and pick up Artificer imo

Then mine Platinum and Carmintium nodes
Take diamonds from the nodes
Turn diamonds into jewelry
Salvage the jewelry for raw mats
Make Powerstones with raw mats
Sell Powerstones on AH

My server powerstones have been selling anywhere from 5 to 7 plat ea.
and people like me hate farming, so we buy a couple hundred hours worth at a time.

rift > WoW all im saying
