I put I had over 7 years, from Guild wars going into WoW then into rift, from the start of rift and start of WoW also.

Link 'em your parses from past rift raids and let 'em see you can pull your weight

well for top tier raiding, you need the stats also, thats the thing.

if yur hp isnt high enough u get smacked around and bres's get wasted on you.
if yur resistances are low, u get smacked around more
if yur crit is low, well u crit and dps less, same with ap.

theres a line between what u NEED and what u can get away with.


yes gear dont mean skill, but its the fact that u need a certain amount of gear/stats to attempt certain bosses.

you cant go from t2 dungeon geared to killing alsbeth, it wont work unless they guild is willing to carry you.


if the guild is worth a damn and has standards, they wont allow carrying people unless for cash runs. But even at that, they are carrying non guildies for cash, and expect all their guild members to be up to par.

Why can't you go from T2 dungeon gear to killing alsbeth?

I'm pretty sure we could get a group of 20 alts who have never stepped foot in a raid to kill alsbeth no problem... Plus, hit and focus is so retarded easy to get these days that should never be an issue...

If you don't have the hit/focus to go and are complaining about that, you're just stupid...

first off, you must never been to alsbeth cuz u need 3 tanks for it, and in t2 gear wont cut it.

dps isnt even really an issue / you can slack on that as long as the dps'rs are on the targets instantly,

you need a pissload of healing, which base t2 dungeon geared people wont handle unless u got 10 of them... i ran an ros pug the other day with random people from rand guilds, and i was the raid healer. over 16minutes i sustained 2200hps on that fight. it would take 3-4 t2 dungeon geared people to sustain the heals of my one fully geard warden.

alsbeth is a 15-18minute fight, and requires a lot of personal responsibility cuz one person can wipe the raid if they arnt paying attention for a split second / miss a callout / dont stack / get cleaved by her 180 degree cleave / etc etc etc

im telling you right now that u wont be able to kill her with t2 people that never raided. there is way to much personal responsibility needed in order to carry a full group. just wont happen.


and btw im not complaining about anything as im 11/11 hk, i have 5 raid geared toons. 1 of each calling on gaurdian and one on defiant. ive killed every raid boss more times than you prolly did dungeons lol.
Between all 5 of my 50's, based upon the raid set gear i got / marks needed for them, ive killed well over 500 raid bosses. i know what im taliking about.

With the recent tank buffs, and nerfs that have happened to RoS since release, I bet tanks have more mitigation in T2/Crafted gear than old tanks in T1 raid gear, they certainly have more hp..

Alsbeth is a long fight, but it's certainly not difficult, If you had 20 players in T2 gear that watched a video on it, I'm confident they could get it their second try. Without watching a video or reading a strat at all it might take you a night to learn the fight.

You're saying that people at the gear level the instance is targeted at, months after release, with a plethora of buffs to them and nerfs to the instance, cannot completed the content for their level?
That's just shitty players being shitty...

Seriously, Herald is a more difficult fight than Alsbeth is at the moment...

My stats are still fine for it, I mean I have a couple peices from hk. Other guuy just was like half hk geard.

Also when he told his stats he was adding all buffs including the 10 second on hit chance ones etc, I posted raw stats.
coincidently I was in raid with him last night and out dpsed him majorly on every fight, wasn't even that my dps was high, his just sucked.
their guild master was in it to. Hope he seen dat shit.
