Hiya, im pretty new to rift, have played WoW over 6 years, but i wanna try this game out, but i really can't decide what to make. I preffer to be a high burster but i dont wanna die that fast, so i guess there should be something in between. but whats that ?

Any help is appriciated.

MM Hunter is a lot of fun and high dps

I was thinking of a melee with magic spells (like Dark Avanger in Lineage 2) or maybe a good PvP healer

Clerics can do it all bro.

They can do burst damage, sustained damage, melee damage

They can tank, they can support and are considered the best healers (in both PvP and PvE)

The only thing they can't do is stealth pretty much

Edit: They also use the 2nd best grade of armor

PvE clerics can hardly do dps...

I'd rather go w/ 19 people instead of 20 if that slot would be a cleric dps, because an empty slot can't die to mechanics and take up a Brez....

But that's just me.

im using a bard/riftstalker/bladedancer. an amazing amount of life/guardian stance/huge damage reduction and damage absorbing shields. has to be one of the best pve builds for sustainability= you kill a target and heal for each combo point that was on the target. and pvp is really fun bc its ranged dps and melle dps. i ALWAYS have the most damage TAKEN. and almost never die.

i like also playing as mm, or also bard as support.

another i've is lvl 50 cleric tank quite fun aswell also can heal support + dps.

I kill lots of guardians in warfronts and it takes them quite a while to down me. In world Pvp, I can take on 3 players and come out on top.

Then again, being rank 8 may have something to do with that

i don't know how chloro plays after the 1.4 patch a few months ago, but back when i played that was awesome.

like an affliction warlock from wow that does more healing than damage - but still does a good amount of damage.
