no my buddy went tro this the thing ur downloading is the actually game client.. so actually if u have a friend with a paid account u can log into it and use his... (otherwise ur downloading the full game) so when u activate ur account if u do all u need to do is pay for the game and pay for a month or 2 and ur good to go..
but after that u have to dl the patch too so ur looking at maybe an hour an a half or 2
