And yeh plat is alot harder to make than wow gold is now. just like any currency it will depreciate. Plat is as hard to make as wow gold was in vanilla. Its only normal imo.
it's true that the amount of gold you get from quest is higher in cataclysm and have caused inflation on all the realm. But remember, wow is most popular MMO and there are plenty of people who wanna trade FG for gold. It's all about demand and supply IMO. Some realm have bad ratio since since there are few people playing on that realm and either seller is desperate to sell or buyer is the one that's desperate for some. In other case, some realm may have overwhelming number of d2jsper with tons of suppliers and great demand which evens out the ratio by trying to compete for better ratio.

well unlike you, I have plenty of FG to spare for few platinum... I just needed few platinum to get started. I will probably buy at better ratio later when I can get 1:10 probably or find someone who needs FG desperately.
