Hi there, i've been playin WoW since beta testing. and i tried rift beta aswell, untill lvl 4 then the beta ended, couldn't really test it.
i know there are lots of wow players that are playing Rift right now, i hope they could tell me the difference (Pro's / Cons) between those 2 games. i dont feel like buying it before i know its any good
i got 3 weeks off from work so i'm kinda bored in wow, gotta wait till my arena partners get online all the time.

Cheers,

new content frequently, I found the level grinding fun the first time around, very unique talent tree system, pve is fun and challenging with alot of mechanics, even in the first tier of level 50 5 man dungeons and the 2nd tier, raids are even harder.

like not even a month ago they release their 2nd raid since launch now a 3rd one is already coming out.

Can get stale like any other mmo, like wow...
pvp is quite unbalanced atm, is a fresh game tho.
dailys kinda suck and rep grinds blow.
can get boring at times.. like any mmo..

still new and kinda looking forward, I started pretty much since launch and took a 2 week break and came back like 5 days ago,

oh and the rifts are awesome, at 50 with your guild you can collect these one things and open up raid rifts with em and fight challening stuff thats timed and get good loots, and invasions leveling up are cool, their random in every zone and its good exp plus a currency you get from them to spend on good loots.

All I agree with, except mechanics and Rifts.

Rifts are horribly boring, even by level 20. Random world events should be random; they shouldn't be jammed down your throat...

And 99% of mechanics involve "don't stand in the glowing circle of death/fire/whatever you want." WoW is better in that regards at least...

have you been to level 50 yet?.....

so many different mechanics, a ton in tier 2s....

not even alot of standing in fire ones, actually there is but it's included with more that you gotta be aware of.

i have a feeling you haven't even done dungeons at 50 yet.

Well, Rifts are semi-fun, but unless they get extremely more challenging in the later levels, I just can't have fun in them. Up till level 25 (where I quit), a team of 2-3 people could take on any Rift without any problems. As for major invasions, there are so many people clustered together that it is easy for healers to keep people alive. And, since every single major invasion is just a massive tank-and-spank fight, it's just not really engaging at all.

No desire to get to 50. If the MMO isn't good enough to get my attention from the get-go, it won't get any better as I level up. If I'm bored now, I would only be bored later. And, if that isn't true, and Rift's end-game is decent (in my eyes), then they still failed (for me), because the process of getting there is more like work than fun.

WoW's grinding is not "enjoyable," but it is more bearable. WoW has more than 4 types of quests, and Blizzard puts in a crapload of "oddball" fun quests into every zone, to mix things up.

Rift's grinding was awful, though, because I had my entire class' move-set at level 25. What was there to look forward to for the next 25 levels? Passives?

For me, it's mostly the class designs and quests that are boring.

Well go try an expert 20man raid rift, then you'll might change your opinion.
