I'm kind of trying for a shadowpriest type build, primarily focused on dps support/soloing by way of DoTs/Heals based off damage.

I went 12 deep into Elementalist for the magic % increase debuff, as well as ice shield and ignite. Pet doesn't hurt either.

13 into chloro for Imp radiant spores and cleanse.

41 into Lock for DPS.

It's a really complicated build to manage, I'm level 20 atm and I have a pretty rigid rotation but it's working out so far. Thoughts/Suggestions?

hey there. i have a lvl 50 mage so ill attempt to assist u.

if i were u, id dump chloro tree and elemental summoner
pick up necromancer with warlock. the synergy between them is amazing and u have a spell that does incredible damage that heals u in return. the spell im talking bout is soul purge. the damage by itself is possibly your hardest hitting spell, and it will heal u to 100% life. not only that u get the amazing ancient tomb ability that transforms your summons to advanced versions. i solo multiple elites between these 2 trees.

also, drop neddras essence, neddras torture, lingering pain, improved life leech, improved void bolt.GET MAGICAL AFFINITY. that is your best spell in the low bracket of the warlock tree, lol.

the reason magical affinity is so important is that u will need charge to use your soul purge spell.

my 3rd tree i used dominator for the free cc spell in case i get a 3rd elite, aka transmogrify.

also remember that for a mage your order should be +sp > +int > +wisdom > +endurance > +crit

when u hit 50, u can solo heal experts(heroics) with a chloro build. i solo heal experts w/o a prob.

i recommend chloro/warlock for healing because your damage = heals. more damage = better heals.

i forgot to add, the reason warlock/necro is such a good tree to use as opposed to your tree is that its hella easy to use. super simple.

use necrosis, pet goes out to attack, then use neddras grasp, dark touch, and grave rot. refresh necrosis then u should almost be full on charge, then i hit with soul purge. mob is dead. lich form when u want to have some fun, u and your pet do more damage in lich form.


u have 2 oh shit abilities which include shadow life. when i use that i heal 50% of my life and get my health becomes over 9k. if ur surrounded by a ton of mobs u should be able to kill them regardless but if not u have feign death.
