atm im completely bored of wow.

i want to play wow, but i just dont find it fun anymore, i feel like the only difference between a frost dk and an unholy dk is unholy gets a pet, frost hits harder which rly doesnt change the playstyle of the character, u still end up mashing the same hotkeys in the same order, the attacks just have different names.

i was wondering if rift's souls were completely different, i mean i heard marksmen and beast master or w/e were pretty similar which is fine but would say warlord and a champion be the almost identical to one another? or do they have completely different play styles?

care to elaborate?

1.) First watch a few Reveiws gameplays of Rift.
2.) The opinion in my mindset never playing WoW is overall the game seems better but i cannot say exactly why, the feel of Zone Events and how the world incorperates the player is just very interesting.
3.) At the moment the leveling is kinda easy but with future updates I hope for the best.
4.) from this do you think Rift > WoW?

i have been watching the reviews, and they leave me wanted to buy this game, but i want to make sure rift is going down the path that cataclysm is with cookie cutter classes and what not.

i mean in wotlk i loved how i could go with a blood/frost hybrid dk, i mean i didnt expect to reach glad with that spec, but i just like being different, with cataclysm im hating the fact that im forced to go with a cookie cutter build and i'm wanting to find something else to wast my time with, and rift seems like that thing.

anyways i just came to these forums to find out if even with all the souls and possible class customization, would i still be forced to use a cookie cutter spec? or could i succeed with a bit of theory crafting?

This game might or might not be better than WoW, however as a person who has been in the same position as you and doing the switch from WoW to Rift, I'd say that you might grow bored of this game too. (Very similar games imo)

Definetly not
Maybe in about a years time there will be cookie cutten specs , but now theirs just a lot of different specs that are good.
Also you have to consider theirs very limited bugs in this game , they are already working on balancing a lot ( i see class changed every few days)
And now a month after the release , they are already releasing a new content patch!
i'm loving it.
