oh wow that kicks the shit out of wow's security
I've had so many problems with their authenticator system
/e I used the mobile DROID autheticator and then it desychned and locked me out of my acct for a week till i could reach blizzard
Next I tried their dial in security (if someone logs in from a strange IP you have to call to allow said ip) I got hacked within two days of switching to this type of security, from an IP in CHINA. They told me that the person was also using comcast which is why they were able to get in (I have the ips logged on my pc, I know for a fact they are in china lol) Last I checked comcast (even if they are in china) would probably have pretty different IPs for someone in Oregon and somone in China.
so after that hack i changed every email password and every single game password, all that, etc. I got hacked again, and the blizz rep I talked to over the phone says "oh they must have set up a backdoor last time they hacked you" Blizz never told me to protect against anything except for a few things, and they gave me 3rd party antivirus and keylogger programs to download. I ran all of these and found nothing, And it turns out the chinese have had access to my bnet acct, school email, facebook, personal email, and my backup email for over two years. (and have been repeatedly hacking me through them)
Any game that causes security breaches like that over gold isnt worth playing imo.
but this idea would have solved all of that. They would have logged on and seen "gold disabled"
Woulda been awesome
