I like the tone of this conversation better :)

Yeah, unsure whether either game will work out. Experimentation can either be fun for players, or can ruin the experience. But experimentation also brings the best results.

I have been reading nothing but positive feedback about Tera from IGN and other review sites, so I have high hopes for the game. Hopefully it turns out all right.

It looks like a WoW-like game that actually takes extreme amounts of skill. That's why the game peaks my interests so highly. I love a challenge in a game filled with intelligent players. The only hope is that Tera won't give into the retards who complain about the difficulty and make everything easier. I'm def gonan try Tera out though ^_^ Hopefully I get into the beta

Hopefully they won't give in. There is already some QQ about minimal grindage and stuff on their community site. I want the game to stay hard. Also, gotta love the idea of an MMO where you can do dungeons with no tank :P

Their E3 trailer is what really jerked my head to look into the game. The idea of having to look for where a boss taps his foot and you have one second to react and get out of the way seems amazing in itself. Those little things are what make a game difficult but in a fair enough way so it can be put down to a science by the most perceptive of players. I guess we'll have to wait and see for the game to come out :P

The game reminds me of Monster Hunter Tri actually (Only game worth buying on the Wii imo, lol).

Same skill-based gameplay. Gotta love a combat system that is actually rewarding.

I've never played it before, but I looked into it. I used to spend quite a bit of time in the Nintendo Section and it seemed to be one of the more popular games haha
And yeah, I don't want another button-mashing game

Well, if this game's combat is just as challenging as in MH, I think I'll be happy.

But that all can wait until it is released ^_^

Done here for now, not much else to say about Rift. Praying Tera will be out by the summer.

Well basicaly in the long shot. Rift Owns and WoW sucks. If you want to play an easy game and your a virgin who likes hearing little F_G nerds talking on ventrillo about "strategy" play WoW. If you like games that are challenging with massive amounts of potential where there are so many combinations u can make your char into then play rift

Congrats on the most single-minded, ignorant post of the entire thread!
