Wow- released 2004 = 11.5 million PEAK
Aion release 2009 = 3million PEAK

pretty sure aion's numbers are more impressive than wow's

idk about that, but does it really matter? aion is still going and making ncsoft money (in kr at least) and therefore it's a success.

why all the rift hate and doubt? maybe it wont hit 11 mil but you dont HAVE to hit that subscriber base to be good, I think the masses are what killed wow.

Look at the progress, everyone says they loved vanilla and BC, and then wrath and Cata are when the community got shitty and riddiculous.

/e wow's changing also coincides with the merger with activision.. coincidence? i think not. but anyway..

I loved vanilla/BC but HATED WOTLK and Cata.

and not to mention 1mil+ on rift is pretty amazing.
Used to be a wow player but i dont see myself going back to playing wow

im also not saying that rift will hit 11mil but just saying that wow is getting old and its time for newer games to come out.
im actually promoting other new mmo's that come out.

Well considering when you say "everyone" your most likely speaking about this d2 community where everyone and their mother have claimed to of played since before blizzard was even established and their dad is a gm. But tbh WOTLK was amazing I have played since pre bc (with hwl / other pvp titles / feats for proof) and hated pre bc / most of bc. CATA can use some touching up but honestly will be hotfixxed soon. Just look at the numbers of prior games before that tried to kill WoW people ended up going back to WoW.

That topic pretty much says it all people left WoW for aion cuz it was new then left Aion for rift cuz its new then once rift has lost its "new kid on the block" status and everyone wants to go back to that home sweet home of WoW I'll be back in about 6 months just like I did in the Aion section to repeat myself. Until then enjoy the fad atm.

They made it so the person with a life / job / family can still be equally as geard as children who are in highschool with nothing better to do then jack and play games. But kept the achievements for the hardcore players to /flex

dont understand how you liked wotlk. they fed you everything with a silver spoon. and achievements for hardcore players? yeah right. only thing about achievements is that they were time consuming. none of them were hard
