Yeah thats what everyone said in Aion and hellgate etc etc its okay... I said it in the Aion forums (go look my 2nd post there ever was a "i told you" Thread) I'll post it here too in 6 months or so when its done being the new kid on the block and slowly bleeding.

actually... aion is still HUGE. has over a million players and EVERYONE in korea plays Aion if they do play an mmo

WoW has 241 servers on the US and 267 on EU

Aion only has 14 on US and 16on EU.

Just because wow has 11 million dosen't mean Aions 1 mil means nothing. Lol.

well DUH. everyone knows that WOW is the largest MMO but for an mmo thats NOT WOW, thats pretty good. Also forgot to add the servers that exist in asia. not many people that live in asia play WOW

what he said. 1million subscribers is HUGE even if comparing to WOW.
You also have to think, how many more gold farmer/seller subscribers there are and dont tell me that you dont know people with MULTIPLE accounts, so its not really 11 million.
Yeah, Aion might have some farmers etc but its not as big of a ratio as the amount of gold farmers on WOW

It means they are almost guaranteed to fail they won't be raking in enough money to upkeep the servers / update the game and will end up having to choose between fixing aion or making something else to save their ass then people will get bored with it and it will fall. It lasted a good 6 months (ish?) in the US and its only a matter of time before the steady decline comes, in the other countries that is.



Just saying the most populated game is going to come out on top. As Blizzard said in their 20 year vid thing "The next best MMO to top WoW is most likely going to come from Blizzard"

And also when you said amount of servers.. look at how many of those servers are DEAD

Also one of the biggest gaming companies in the world is saying it. Not some WoW clone with wings.

um.. everyone goes on and on and on about how WOW brought "new" stuff to the market but when in reality, they've taken ideas from other games and, like you said, "perfected" it.
Every game is going to seem like a "clone" of wow because if it works for wow, its going to work for other games so i dont really understand why people say its a wow clone when in reality, wow is a clone of countless other mmo's.
The only thing "original" about WOW is its storyline. wow just did a better job of marketing their game than others
