Here's a tip. Mount up and face against the cliff. Keep running into the cliff as u fall. You should be able to take minimal damage on all descents except sheer faces where u just fall.

Also high elf racial does not negate fall damage but you can still use it to get around a LOT of obstacles.

I use the high elf racial probably about once a minute if not once every 30 seconds.

Not exaggerating, it's bound to my f key.
