Just bought a copy of this for me and my girl because its on sale this weekend. Won't be able to start til this 20 hour patch is over >.>
Already reminding me of WoW haha.

A few things I was wondering.

A. How is the pvp? Is there brackets and is it server vs server, or whats up?
B. Is there a rift timer, or is there a set time between rifts, or is it completely random? / What are the rift rewards?
C. What level do you unlock the ability of roles? And is it all 4 at once or is it incremental unlocks?
D. The manual doesn't really show much about what races excel in. Is there certain spells/moves that each race obtains? If so could anyone point me to a short list of them.
E. Is the Cleric a nice class? I was thinking maybe a Purifier/ Cabalist / Shaman for my 3, so I could excel at single target healing yet do heavy damage. Is that a viable route to go as far as getting to 50 goes (or whatever the max is).
F. If not the Cleric, how about a Warrior? I was thinking a Rift Blade / Paragon / Reaver would excel at heavy damage output, would that lack key survival skills though?

Im very new myself but its quite enjoyable and different, as the game progresses and you "grow" with it, i think it will become one of the better games of the new mmo era.

B ) not sure exactly but in my adventures early on (level 15 or something) ive just came across many spawned randomly and they last like 90mins-2hours but it only takes like 5 minutes to do one around your level if you have a couple folks- some take longer then others. but then there's invasions which is like a s hit load of rifts and other crap going on, its fun and im sure once i fully understand myself it will be that much more enjoyable.

C) you refering to the "Talent Trees"? I think by level 8 or 10 i had all 3 opened.. not long really.

d) Check the rift main page under the races/classes and it will give you the strengths/weaknesses/history of almost every class/faction/race ect

thx I installed and have been slowly trying it out (while working )
so far this game seems great, it runs so smooth, I can't recall many games I can run on highest settings and tab between it and virtual machine, and an rdp connection without a hint of lag or delay.
I tested out the warrior and it seems pretty nifty, and much to my surprise when I chose paragon it suggested for a second soul rift blade, so I'm thinking those 3 souls together will be good

I played WoW Wotlk and before and I think Rift is alot better. No repair bills. I dont have to pay 50g to respec, I stopped playing just as they started dual specs.
The rifts that pop up from time to time are cool imo. They can be good or bad. Good exp and the rewards can help at low and even high lvls. Bad if you have to quest around there and its a major rift with ellites and they kick your ass. The PvP isnt bad has a few minor things that need to be worked out but over all its solid.
I havent done many high lvl instances but I hear they are pretty good.

I have to agree, from what I've experienced so far I enjoy it far more than WoW (that may be because I played for 7 years and its extremely dry to me tho xD)

I do however dislike all the races on each faction use the same starting zone, meaning there isn't going to be much variation between leveling each character. But at the same time it is nice when trying to level with someone.

I love the rift feature, and the invasions. It seems no matter what I'm doing theres always something else to do incase my current situation goes sour.
Last night me and my girlfriend were questing just outside of the first major defiant city (can't think of the name atm haha). All the sudden I see a death rift saying its level 14. Sitting inside was a ?? mob, I attacked him for lols, he starts talking then he vanishes and the real rift starts. Since the big guy was gone we would just face level 14 mobs, but when we killed them all some huge guy with 10x our hp spawned and just destroyed us. It took some team work but we ended up killing him with me spam healing the hell out of her while keeping dots up on the guy.
It probably wasn't a big deal or a hard fight for anyone over level 25 but at 15 it sure felt like we just did a mini raid boss.

nice yeah i liked that stuff too in the beta.
There also was this invasion, then this giant WOLF boss thing spawned somewhere. He had like 200k hp when we had like 500 (lvl 10 or something)
We got him down with like 25 lowbees and some higher level peeps

That was fun

But i still would like to know how end game Pve and mostly PVP is

well i could probably let you know endgame is in a few days i hope seeing as my guild is endgame
only got in it cause past member in previous mmo
