Find me a free MMO better than RIFT because if that's the case, I'd quit the game in a minute to save the cash and all
And this game will be a success for sure. In it's first two weeks of launch there are millions of users already, most of which are ex-WoW players who needed something new.
It's too hard to hold a game up when it's F2P, and advertisements can't afford to keep it getting updated, it will only cover the servers IF that. It's the same reason Diablo II is so neglected. AT&T pays the money to keep the servers up and that's the only money the game generates other than buying the discs/CD keys

Haha agreed. The only F2P that's alright is Runescape because it offers a lot of content and any player can be good, it just takes longer/more effort. But that game still has a majority of its members paying to play so the F2P is to pull in people, and in the end they all pay!

free to pay games MMOs will never have the type of content that pay to play has. Sure it may be fun for a month or two, but it will never have the longevity of a p2p game.

knight online aka knight empire was a good f2p game
the pvp was amzing for bout 3-4 years
then i quit once they released new shit
not sure how it is now
that game still has the best pvp gameplay of all the games i played imo

Guildwars has the best pvp i know, until they nerfed everything.

its much more detailed than WoW, and much more fun with the Rift public groups that anyone can join etc
