Rofl. YES. That is EXACTLY what he's saying. You get new souls via quests(basically you can have every soul in your said calling) and you can pay a little gold to reset your points, and you can choose which souls you want to play as. You don't need to reroll completely.

when you've completed all of the soul quests (5 in total, avail at level 13+ so you have 8 total souls) you can then reconfigure your trees to any combination of three.

then you can have 4 different configs to switch between, you can purchase additional configs from your trainer.
