been playing rift all week and weekend its a awsome game. i wouldn't say its a wow Killer cuz its not. in my opinion its better in many ways then wow and ofc its gonna be compared to that game since it is number 1 mmo. im not a WOW fan at all i just couldn't stand how slow it feels playing rift seems to be faster more going on all the time and once u jump into ur first REAL BIG rift its epic! feels like the game transforms in a matter of seconds. almost like u go to another world.

all in all its a dope ass game and i highly recommend it to anyone looking for a new fun mmo to play!

quit wow for rift, and after playing rift think im gonna give up on mmos completely after playing them for 5+ years.. they just arent as fun anymore.
honestly they are only fun if you have friends that play and you do stuff with in game, and even then you can only play so much..
nothing against the game really, while the rifts can be neat they get old pretty fast too..but thats just me i guess
and its neat picking souls and different combinations but in the end you are still pretty much stuck to a few souls for specific reasons..

quests are even more boring than in wow.
rifts and events gettin bored after silverwood.
nice talentsystem, but many skilltrees seems to be very similiar, atleast for warrior. mage is far more fun.
50 pvp is boring, simple bg farming to reach rank 6 and then? kinda boring after some days. no motivation to farm the same bgs thousands of time.
pve content, well dont saw alot, but it seems that it wont be that hard + kinda simple boss mechanics.

rift is a decent mmorpg, but far away from a milestone.

i think, after burning crusade the personal requirment for mmorpgs went that high, that it wont be able to play another mmorpg because they are to far away to compete.

Rift might be better then present day wow but if there is any Vanilla Wow players here they can easily agree that before blizzard decided to cater to the noobs and casual players (which is a great bisnuess move because hardcore gamers only make up about 10% of their client base) Wow was the shitttt. You worked hard with a team of 40+ people to achieve one goal and when you got loot it actually meant something. Only the best guilds with the most organized leadership could kill the stronger bosses and that made you take great pride being in one. I personally built my reputation on wow for being able to lead raids of complete strangers to kill these bosses only guilds could kill and that was a very exciting position and very profitable venture if i dont say so myself.....
