Hoping I'm in the right section here with this, but I'd like to find a pair of solid cams for my vehicle.

One for the front (outward view and inward towards me) as well as one for the back window.

I don't know enough to know what to look for or roughly what I can expect to pay for something decent.

I'm thinking I would want something that enables me to access footage via an app/software from my phone

in the event of some kind of incident or if there were an actual crash and the camera in question

that otherwise captured the footage (say from behind prior to an impact) could not be located after the fact.

My guess is that I'd imagine such an app/software would likely be standardized (or so I'd hope)? In any case,

any insight is appreciated.
