The human species is not very objective about itself. This prevents us from seeing that our brain is comprehension capped.
If you took the smartest chimpanzee in the world and tried to teach it to do calculus, you could never succeed. No matter how much you taught and practiced, the fibers of that chimp's brain are permanently incapable of ever grasping the concept of calculus.
Now, roll the evolutionary scale forward a fraction and see a species whose DNA varies from a chimp by ~1%.
This new species believes itself to be capable of comprehending everything in the universe. It's very self absorbed to think that the moment of OUR CREATION was the magic switch that unlocked unlimited comprehension.
There are probably concepts in the universe that are as impossible for our brains to grasp as calculus is for a chimp.
ye well, calculus was our own invention. if u cant have a proper way of explaining it to the monkey it cant fully understand it however i've seen footage of chimps solving quite complex problems which they clearly understand.
the same goes for many animal languages that we dont understand. its not that our brains r incapable, animals just cant explain it ;p
having said that, i agree that there r obvious examples of other animals that clearly dont have enough brain power to comprehend life to the level we do.
if u propose that there is a limit to human comprehension, u should probably try and give an example of what could be so unimaginable.
theres tons of ideas out there that are absolutely crazy yet some people still believe in them. the way i see it, if u can imagine something, no matter how crazy it is, and if it eventually turns out to be true, u wont be surprised that much
human imagination is so powerful that there's hardly anything that u could think of that hasnt already been thought about by someone else and there r probably books about it too ;p
1 thing of the top of my head that i find hard to comprehend is that the largest sun ever observed was measured to be so big that if u could make a trip around it on a jet traveling at 900km/h, it would take u roughly 2000 years to complete the journey.
