Looking to buy a new a/c for my room. Basically looking for something that can cool a 20x10x10 room from around 90f to the 70ish range. Trying to find something that uses freon but fking can't for some stupid reason <_< I know there has to a be a small room freon filled a/c unit somewhere i can buy.

The most efficient stuff you can get is r12 based, but that was outlawed mid 90's so your best bet it just picking up an old conditioner off craigslist or something.

It's pretty easy to convert an r134 to r12 tho so you could also get a super cheapy new AC.
The only problem in that is finding a Canadian who has access to r12 who can mail it.

R12 was used in residential HVAC since AC was invented, then household systems went r22 in like the 70s or some shit but r12 stayed the standard for automobiles so that's what I'm familiar with.

It's all the same shit, just different pressures thus necessitating retrofitting valves and rings.
