I don't see anything remotely desirable or realistic in the video.
Complete sci-fi imaginary idea.
There's more reality in the fictions of the dark tower or mad max.
Yes it is not a matter of desirability. Augmented reality of course is already a real technology, and will likely become a mainstay for at least a significant portion of the population, though probably not to this extent of consuming every aspect of human life (though who knows?). But if augmented reality does become prevalent then it seems like corporate interests would be the main actors just like every other media.

All I want is augmented reality to add Pokemon.
Hell yeah. That'd be awesome. My friend actually made a semi-augmented reality mobile game. Not visual like this stuff, but there are Pokemon at certain places around your neighborhood and you have to go there to fight them or collect items and shit. Pretty cool.

whoever made this has very poor imagination and little to no practical and logical thinking which is exactly what u want most out of a software that supports ur lifestyle.
the design of this is so childish, unpractical and way too overloaded with useless information and bright colors that i hardly think any software designed for such purpose in future would look anything close to this.
absolute garbage.
The whole point is that it wouldn't be user choice, or would offer rewards in such a way that people would deliberately expose themselves to it; it would be the eventual outcome of consumerism and capitalism left unchecked. Ads are already everywhere, on the web, on our phones, on the street, on TV, why would augmented reality be any different?
Think of mobile gaming. So many people sit there watching ads to get a meager advantage in their mediocre game.
