anyone that browses this forum work with any applied mathematicians or is one?

thinking of getting a BA in apply/comp + minor in CS (only take me about a year)but not sure what type of work I need to look for that I will enjoy/that is demanding & in demand/can make a very powerful career off of


only going to a state uni so no prestigious Alma matter

there are a few mathematicians (applied or otherwise - the boundaries are blurred) browsing this forum
but you better state which country (or even state, province etc) you are in because there are differences
but thumbs up for intending to study math

edit:
seeing the post by 'Arkil' - you might ask in homework helpline as well
there are some posters with math experience there which might not come here

Smart move on looking for opinions within the industry. The last person you want to ask on job prospects or how to get hired is a career academic. At least if you ask a crack dealer his opinion it should be informed with respect to sales and marketing.

Once upon a time god called Nicolas Tesla and asked him to answer 1 second faster than he knew he was able of. Be fast 10 power will cut of of ur mental calculus.

Is a BS not an option? It theoretically would give you more applied skills, but in math a BA is still pretty useful
