I want to buy a cell phone with frequency wcdma 850/2100

Does it work in canada with Rogers company which is 850/1900??


Im confused if I need BOTH frequency or 1 is enough (the 850 one)

I hope you guys understand sorry for my english lol

not sure about the specifics you're asking about but rogers uses gsm and bell/telus are phasing out cdma in favor of gsm

Rogers uses both frequencies in different areas, predominantly 850 MHz but will use 1900 in areas where 850 MHz isn't usable ( backup option ) so to answer your question a phone that is 850/2100 will work in MOST places

also the 1900 band of frequency is used in dual band mode sometimes for better data ( internet ) usage, so you may suffer somewhat on data speeds
