i'm on tmobile and live in america

if someone from canada visits me in america, and i text her phone, does it charge me as a long distance text because her phone is from out of the country or does it still count as a domestic text since shes close by me

It would charge one or both of you extra. Due to her phone being on "roaming". When your cell is using other satellites to connect, it will charge more.

It will charge you. Your best option is to get a burner phone for her visit.
