Hopefully the sky is filled with pretty colors. But in all seriousness, the articles I've been reading about it have scientists sounding a little unsure about what exactly is going to happen.

what is the degree of uncertainty? rather than just throwing in some half digested line it would be good if you quoted or linked something reasonable

Those that are outside will be vaporized instantly. Those that are in doors or in their vehicles will be turned into zombies. Those in underground shelters or basements will emerge from the chaos and find that the zombie apocalypse has begun. Or GPS will act screwy, internet and tv may get some problems and cellphones may drop some calls. We'll see.
