Wondering if I'm the only loser who spends hours listening to them while gaming and while I'm on lunch at work I spend my time reading articles fr the TED app
There are some great talks there. I think it would be a good idea for hs teachers to have kids watch some of TED's best stuff and then discuss it. At the gr 8/9-12 stage, it could change someone's life. It can change anyone's life to watch something that sparks her or his interests, but I think the hs audience could potentially find a great deal of life direction just from seeing what they love being "done" in a different way.
I've learned from some TED talks and I've been fascinated by others. Sure, a bunch of the talks there are disappointing, but it's like a gold mine. All that glitters is not the true shizzam.
