Please know that what I am about to talk about I have not read in any book, nor am I interested in having some textbook theory quoted to me. I fully admit that I know next to nothing about astronomy, and the following is as far as I'm concerned science fiction.
I will not reply to you if you are disrespectful, unnecessarily combative, condescending, and/or trying to build yourself up by tearing others down. The following is just my observations and my own personal theory.

I observe a world of 7 billion unique human beings. Not just unique but entirely unique in every single way. From eyes to fingerprints, from eyebrows to nose, from voice patterns to the way we think, everything about us is unique. I observe a world with nothing but unique living things, from tree to plant, from animal to fish, an amazing world of seemingly infinite possibilities. Infinite possibilities stretching out into the cosmos, every planet, solar system, and galaxy having its own characteristics unlike any other we know of. However, A universe of finite space and time could not contain infinite possibilities. Either there is one infinite universe that has always existed, or there are infinite Universes. The first option seems less likely as we have been able to figure out that a long time ago a big bang occurred, apparently our Universe had a beginning.

So what could cause this big bang? What could compress all the matter in the Universe into one tiny point from which it all exploded? At the center of every galaxy lies a black hole. Feeding off matter and light it grows until the galaxy around it dies. Every star runs out of fuel and there isn't even light to feed the hungry monster. The black hole compresses and grinds all particles within it breaking down the smallest building blocks of matter into an ultra pure form of energy. Out of food, the black hole explodes giving birth to a whole new Universe. Size, space, and time mean nothing within this explosion. Matter is formed as the new universe expands and is in proportion in size right down to the atom to the size of the big bang from which it was created. Our universe gives birth to hundreds of millions of galaxies which in turn give birth to hundreds of millions of universes, and so it continues for all of eternity. Each time the universe would from the outside appear smaller, but from the inside appear exactly the same. Each time the mass of the universe being reduced to a fraction, but never reaching zero.

lol it seems that way. No way could we refute any knowledge back to him because he said he doesn't want it :/

Well, youre approach is a bit bad.
Earth, secluded holds infinite possibilities as you say.
But the universe doesnt.
No one knows how large the actual universe is, nor the shape.
And the shape is essential to how large and the answer of infinity.
Certain shapes will collapse (might be what causes big bangs), others only have so much mass potential. Yet some will break off into smaller pieces.

You cannot start a meassure with saying 7bill equals infinity and then discount 7bil bil bil bil possibilities as finite :P

But you are correct that true infinity is probably not a possibility, unless we talk multiple universes. But we will probably never know.

You seem to lean towards contraction expansion form of the universe, and thats fine. But we dont know if thats the exact truth. A universe that from a black hole explodes into what we know and over time looses its push and then contracts into the black hole again, redoing the universe.
Sound theory but already known :P
