So for about 6 years ago I had some serious problems with my knees, especially my right knee, caused by playing catcher in baseball for 10 years.

Since then my knees have been fine, with the exception of when the thought of how they were before comes across my mind. Then I can't seem to walk normally for the rest of the day and I get a sharp pain in my right knee. I know that their is a term or condition for such thoughts causing pain that I'm placing onto myself. Can someone explain what this is and why it's happening?

And I can go weeks without it coming across my mind, able to walk and run without a single pain from my knees, but as soon as I think about it, it's gg.

Maybe your knees are sore now and again and that's what brings back your memories

You might tell a doctor and see what they think.

Happens to me when i think about my chest pain.

It's all mental. Your mind creates the illusion of pain. You just have to meditate more.

Don't say you tried meditating and it didn't work if you only tried it a few times. Meditation takes a while to start working because you have to train your mind.

Get a warm shower going and sit down in the tub and close your eyes and meditate. focus on the water & warmth hitting your head & back. Eventually you will be in a very relaxed state of mind and the pain will disappear. You can try this when you are feeling sick, have other pains or your emotionally stressed. Meditation fixes everything.

It could be a pain that is always there, but your mind suppresses it to allow you to function normally.
