I think this is good news, hopefully this will be the first of many feminist branches of science. These tired old archaic paradigms of science formulated by straight-white males is finally concluding and in 50 years we can look back and laugh at all of the silly bigoted stuff we used to believe in before viewing the world through clear level headed feminist spectates.

If "non-white, non-male" scientists make real advancements in biology which leads to practical applications (such as medicine), then they will not be ignored.

That sounds incredibly bigoted, everyone is equal, basing stuff on merit will only allow people with accomplishments to be noticed and accepted.

Archaic and barbaric? Where have you been living? How can the present be archaic when it is incredibly different both scientifically and culturally than almost any past civilization/culture.

Additionally, its becoming less and less patriarchal. In fact, more women graduate from college than men.

Racial minorities and women have higher chances of being elected president than white males. (Hillary Clinton, Barrack Obama)

Why would anyone want to be a white male in todays culture? Honestly, it is now uncool.
