All you have to do is become an "app studio" developer (which is free) and then you get access to the OS update (not firmware, that's through your manufacturer i.e Nokia, HTC). Anyway, what are your thoughts on Cortana, action center, etc.

Yea, I like WP 8.1 a lot. I'll probably get a Nokia 1520 or something similar when it's time to upgrade.

Nice. I've had a windows phone 7 since it came out and have been waiting to upgrade.

I never had WP7 but from what I've heard, WP8 is a massive upgrade. WP8.1 will blow you away.
