Why we think Light speed is a constant....How we add darkmatter, to make the models of the universe we have work...And overall view of what we believe and why.

science doesn't usually claim anything to be absolute truth. scientific claims are just the current best working theory. the man in the video seems to be confusing the scientific method with philosophy. his opinions are no less subjective than the method and theories he is criticizing.

You can read a book and interpretate it like you want to but there is only one way how it is ment by the author..
the book will be written in words and the language can variate.
the meanings of words can change etc ...
consequently people try to analyse things in the easiest way called "mathematics" (language) in general.
And in physics it is like an axiome to say : belive in everything what you cannot prove to be false
200 years ago people laughed, when they saw constructions of airplanes (thinking of flying was threated as childish dream) and today it is nothing special...
and about the light race, when this is wrong we wouldn't live at all.
We can experience and try to understand it (via mathematics for example ) but we don't have really influence to the nature.
Nowadays we don't try to understand we just try to immitate the nature.
Ask a physican what mass is and you will see there is no real answer untill now. There is not much place for ignorance at all, specially since for example it is a fact that accident in general doesn't exist either (since last year, it has been proven).
The theories have been made 50 years ago and the person who found it did, never knew in what it would result. That's the reason why so many physicans today talk about "one god" aswell ;).
And in science people never say the theory is right. The theory is more used to simplify the conditions.
in the 70s of the last century one physican has been honoured for his work with the nobel price.
He has proved that there are not maximally 4 but maximally 3 natural powers.
Even at the speech he said he is convinced that there is maximally 1 natural power to that time.
Today we know he was right...
And before the 20th century they talked about 7 natural powers.
Facts and faith should be threated as different topics in that case that's what i want to say at all.
Those people decide how the future will look like. Many people say that there are no big important philosophers who try to describe the world but there you go ...the language just has been changed that's all.
