Gonna go look for some vents under some ice in some saltwater, ya'll. Think we'll be able to squeeze two billion from the defence budget to start the planning to go to Europa?

Gonna have to get some big tankers for that. We just need to learn how to.... manipulate gravity.... must move through space..... faster....

It is much more economical (probably on an exponential scale) to desalinate water on Earth than it is to get water from another planet.

In other words, any fuel spent to find water on Europa (which may or may not exist in significant quantities) AND bring it back could easily be used to desalinate ocean water and produce a LOT of water.

Water isn't a fuel source, we have not found a way to get useful energy out of water yet.

Wait, are you one of those people that think you can split water into hydrogen and oxygen and then burn that? Oh this is precious.
Well if that's the case, I don't know why we need water at all. There's a much better way:

Take an electric car, add a generator that is powered by the engine and connect it to the battery. While the car is driving, the engine spins the generator and charges the battery, so the battery never runs out. So you can drive forever, because the car just keeps charging itself, and you don't need any fuel at all!
