I have a bunch of branches and small trees I need to trim/cut down, and the price it costs to pay someone to cut down, I can buy my own chainsaw. I'm looking in the $150-170 range. I'd like a gas powered one that is self oiling at the very least. I've read a dozen reviews, and I'm stuck on what to buy, some are better than others. It needs to be from The Home Depot, Walmart, or Amazon if possible.

Thank you.

why don't you ring up one of those gardening maintenance people and ask them what they use or go to a garden centre who sell that stuff for advice?

does it matter?
you can still go for advice
for every major purchase we ever made, we checked at a few stores and discussed various options
before making our decision about what, where and when to acquire

postscript: home depot & walmart are not stores?

They both have websites. I currently do not have a vehicle, mine is being fixed and I do not have the means to travel to stores to ask. I would if I could, believe me lol.

I read quite a bit of mixed reviews on this, both on the Walmart site itself and other review-based websites. So far it seems okay, but it's about equal in positive and negative.

Buy a STIHL. They make the best chainsaws imo.

That's a bit outside my price range, but thank you.

This one is a bit more expensive, but it has better reviews and seems less flawed. http://www.amazon.com/Poulan-Pro-PP5020AV-20-Inch-Carrying/dp/B0052EL9YU%3FSubscriptionId%3DAKIAIAA4MWUJXHBYFRNQ%26tag%3Dsquid1475561-20%26linkCode%3Dxm2%26camp%3D2025%26creative%3D165953%26creativeASIN%3DB0052EL9YU
Any experienced chain saw users/owners have any input?

Dad used to like his stihl, until he got his new chainsaw. Think he ended up getting an echo(can double check if needed). We do a lot of cutting up at our cabin and he ended up liking it more. It could just be that it's newer, lighter, and smaller but still has power.

If interested, I can ask my dad/mom if I remember tomorrow/this weekend.
