I have a reciprocating saw that I need to add a dial or some sort of knob dimmer or fader to adjust the speed of the saw. How can I go about wiring this?

Saw should already has a control for that (unless it is a piece of junk). Check instruction manual if not readily obvious. If your saw does not have one, try this site for what you need.

gonna be ugly if ur not a fix it kind of guy but if you really want to just look up how to add a speed control to a sawzall (reciprocating saw).
should find something on the net.
im guessing all you need to do is find positive from power supply be it plug in or battery, splice and put in ur speed control and finish the circuit.
just making it look good will be up to u. gl
