I am trying to measure susceptibility of a sample material in a form of a tube. I was thinking whether to use Gouy or Faraday Balance, but do not understand the math behind those experiments.
Could anyone please help me find an equation that illustrates the change in weight on the tube?
I can use up to 0.3 Tesla of magnetic field. Sample is a ferromagnet that is 20cm long, with a 1 cm radius.

assuming you mean magnetic susceptibility:

that proportionality constant is what you want to find i assume. shouldnt be too hard
