Likewise. After reading this I can't wait for a huge update on the OS.
I've had my Lumia 920 for about 3 months if not more and I am still disappointed in regard to the lack of applications.
As well as a lot of what is useful is still in BETA stage, such as Spotify etc.. Facebook app is terrible so far and the browser got replaced within minutes of starting the phone.

Other than this, I really recommend the phone to people as it is so user friendly. The camera is great and it is an incredible fast phone.
My battery can run a very long time having spotify running in the background. However, playing games drains the battery quite fast.

Both Nokia AND Microsoft needed this.
Nokia have fallen behind in some areas that MS can help them in, and MS definitely need some new eyes...

I never liked Nokia. Maybe they will be awesome in the future now.

I really hope the windows phone platform succeeds. If microsoft would just loosen its grip on how closed down the ecosystem is I think theyd have a winner. For now I'm using android with a windows 8 launcher
