Hey Guys, I'm planning to get a new smartphone.
Currently I have owned the iphone 3gs for a good 2-3 years haha getting pretty damn slow on me now...

thining between, Samsung s4 and iphone 5?

opinions on this?

im kind of leaning onto the s4 side due to the fact of using iphones for so long i want to switch it up ;]

Iphone 5 is "simpler" to use, but garbage hardware against the S4.

S4 shell is nothing special, but if you are buying it for the looks then... nothing to be done to help you.

S4 is faster and has more powerful hardware on all sides.

look into windows phones as well.

Android = Open Source, iOS = Closed Source
Android = Backed by Google who believes in freedom of choice, iOS = backed by Apple who believes in limiting you to their standards and ways of doing things
Android contribution team = x where x is an increasing subset of people on the planet, iOS contribution team = Apple's relatively little team

whatever the newest ones are they have for your carrier.

there is a new nokia 100 dollar windows phone that i hear is good.

Have had quite a few windows phones, I don't at ALL recommend them.

and how many of them have been post mango release?

I sold 3 in the last week all made within the last two years. Looks like all of them would have been released after mango.
