Should be in Science and Technology forum.
I think it does disprove it though.

No. It supports it. "Physicalism" can't exist without it.

Particles that do not couple strongly to photons do not "disprove physicalism", or anything else I can think of.

I don't even understand where you could get that notion from...

Dark Matter (if we ever truly discover it) would be a physical thing - the thing that holds all other things together.

Dark matter is physical, whereas the wave-function and other things in quantum mechanics are not physical, or at least it's hotly debated.

I think a better question would be 'Do the dimensions of physics disprove materialism?"

The wave function is just a mathematical device used to predict the future. Might as well ask if F=ma is physical and keep it simpler.

That might be true, but what about the double slit experiment? There must be some sort of immaterial wave that allows the interference pattern to appear. Oh, and by the way, velocity, momentum, force, energy, etc. are all immaterial qualities. They are only detectable by their effects. We cannot separate velocity from its object, and the object itself shows nothing that would indicate velocity except for the relative position or movement of two or more objects. Velocity is an immaterial relative quality. :)
