I don't have a link to a specific article to share, sorry!

Please ask yourself (or feel free to use this as a template to start your post) these few questions:

Code
Do you have any stereotypes towards this generation?
If so, what are they?
Do you feel children of this generation were starved or spoiled?
If so, why/in what way?
If you grew up as a part of this generation, are you ashamed to be apart of it?
If so, why (possibly explain why you don't fit the stereotypes, if applicable)?

Personally, I was born in late 1994 on the winter solstice. I had to grow up fast for a variety of reasons, from being with the state government a lot since the age of 4 (My mom was governors secretary and brought me into work a lot), to having divorced parents, and a variety of other circumstances. I actually feel I'm lucky I went through some of these positive and negative circumstances, as it helped me to further stray from some of the stereotypes of my generation. I even hold those stereotypes myself, that my generation is rude and unappreciative, even out of control.

Please share how you feel, whether you were born as apart of this generation, or whether you are an outside observer (to put it nicely you old folk :P ) of this generation.
Thanks and please be considerate of others experience's and opinions!

Its a generation comprised entirely of young people. I think that age group largely explains the rude and unappreciative behavior. its not a stereotype of that generation, but a typical trait of all kids, teens, and young adults of any generation.

If you grew up as a part of this generation, are you ashamed to be apart of it?

I was born late 1995 (December 22 lol) and I'm not ashamed for the most part.

It's sad seeing some of my peers though.. What they do and how they approach things...

I'll admit we're, overall, not the brightest generation.

If so, why (possibly explain why you don't fit the stereotypes, if applicable)?

What I see in my generation is a bunch of people who try to stand out..

They all try so hard to become something their not. It sickens me..

And when they fall, they blame it on everything around them.

I, on the other hand, like to sit back and ride the waves.

I am who I am, and I'm fine with that, no reason to change this awesome mothafucka'. (But really, once I think about it, I'm pretty sweet ^_^ )

Also, I'm at fault for every problem I have. I realize this, sometimes too late, but that's life.

Hopefully this isn't too jumbled for you guys.

Born in late 1994, and I'm ashamed as hell to be part of this generation. I dunno if it's just where I live but I'd say at least 90% of people I know born in that time frame are selfish, dim, self-centred, sheepish and generally lacking of any common sense.

This is the generation that brings you the likes of Giovanni Plowman (a girl who sucked her used tampon and recorded it, to put on youtube). The other day I saw a video of a 15-year-old girl stripping completely naked, which she had uploaded because she was 'proud of her body'. Evidently, child porn and paedophilia mean nothing to her

I'd love to say that they're just bad eggs but it's very hard when you see the levels of idiocy in this generation...I just hope they can grow up sharpish...

Disagree - it's a result of a generation of parents who lack the support or skills to bring up or control children with manners, courtesy, empathy or selflessness.

Being born in 1989, I can safely say that my generation of high schoolmates are mostly assholes, anti social and rude.

I was born in 1990. The reason why our generation sucks is because this is when schools started to pussify everything. Adults took one long look at society and said to themselves "Well, we live in a shit-topia, we'd better spread the message to our kids so they don't upset the system when we're old and drawing transfer payments from their kidneys and bone marrow. They all have to grow up into giant vaginas or our pensions are at risk." I honestly think that it was the most risk averse generation of people ever born.
Also surprised as hell at all the kids born in 94 or 95. I remember that time. I used to play SNES.
