I've come to understand that nothing in this universe is indestructible, even the stars shall perish before you. If it does not decay, it will crumble. Growth and Construction will inevitably rot or succumb to ruin.

Technology in my opinon, is limited by the amount of time we have left on a sustainable planet. My question is basically asking whether or not we can outlast the ages via space-travel and colonizing from planet to planet, galaxy to galaxy... ad infinitum.

I mean, surely there are unknown resources out there... if we could simply attain them, perhaps we could utilize them technologically and ensure a brighter future?

The void is vast is all I'm saying. I accept the futility of my existence, but cannot be sure whether or not humanity should embrace it as a whole.

Well, the universe is ever expanding, so not only like you mentioned about stars dying.. But eventually we would be much too far from any other planet or resource out there to just "planet-hop".
So Unless we could create some sort of completely re-usable, ultra efficient energy source on the extremely large scale, then I'm afraid that everyone and everything's fate is ultimately meaningless. (unless ofcourse you believe in god or a higher power)

I believe that the Flying Spaghetti Monster will absorb me by latching onto my fleeting existence with its slimey, yet eminent, noodley-appendage. I will then be one with the divine and timeless primordial.

this ^^ except its even worse. There is no such thing as a completely re-usable energy source; this was essentially proven by Sadi Carnot in the 1820's. Ironically his proof assumes nothing about how the engine works! So it is valid for all engines. It is a very interesting topic, here is a video I found about it:

if so our evidence would be purely robotic, forever spreading out, surviving us to infinity. but even that is doubtful.

nonsense imo... i believe that there may be spheres of consciousness that have ascended to 'primal consciousness' or elemental or 'fundamental consciousness'.

The possibility of humans colonizing other planets in the distant future is nonsense to you, but "spheres of consciousness" are right up your alley? What's that tell you?
